Automation Anywhere "Formula" Shortcuts

Hey- I’ve noticed that I can convert a string to a number or vice versa using syntax like this: $YourStringVariable.String:toNumber$ I find this useful because it saves the conversion step in the interface.  I was interested to know if anyone else has suggestions for more of this type of stuff where I can use shorthand or “formula-ish” language in place of the interface? For example…..stuff like this: Can I split a string and get the position of X element in one “formula”? Can I string out specific text based on start and end in one “formula”…. rather than the clunky interface? Basically common shortcuts to cut out additional steps…..

Automation Anywhere Software Suggestions

Microsoft has a program (User Voice) where you can make software feature suggestions and these suggestions are subsequently upvoted or downvoted based on community input.  If the suggestion gets enough traction it is put on the product roadmap for development.  Is there something similar for Automation Anywhere?  There seems to be a lot of room for improvement in a number of different packages.  I have an extensive background in Excel and the way this is laid out seems to be very antiquated.  I would like to make some suggestions….

XLS to XLSX Conversion

Hi Masterminds, I would appreciate if someone can help me with a most effective/simple way to convert an XLS file to XLSX. I am currently working on a project where I need to download a lot of XLS files from Oracle and later, have to work on it. The problem I am facing is, as soon as this downloaded file opens, I am getting the below warning on Excel and I am able to work if I press YES. But, I can’t do this every time neither via BOT as I am thinking it would be best to convert this file to XLSX right away after downloading it. By doing this, I can avoid this warning message as well.  I know there is a File conversion package available on Bot store but there is no option on it for this requirement. Thanks in advance. 😀

A360 On Prem V24 and V25 package downloads

Hi,We want to upgrade our CR version to v25 since the problem of microsoft basic e-mail authentication in Exchange Online. Our current CR version is V21, on-prem.  In the https://docs.automationanywhere.com/bundle/enterprise-v2019/page/enterprise-cloud/topics/deployment-planning/on-prem-install/update-enterprise-a2019.html page, it is recommended that our version is one of the n-3 versions before upgrading to v25 (n) version. Thus, where can we find the previous v24 and v25 packages to download?In addition to this, we would like to ask to make sure that if we can solve the problem of microsoft basic e-mail authentication in Exchange Online just by upgrading the email package to 3.14.3-20220923-220748 without upgrading the CR to v25 version. If it is possible, where can we download Email package with OAuth 2.0 support? (I think its version is 3.14.3-20220923-220748) Best Regards,

How to create a function with bot?

Hello- I’m trying to do something fairly simple.  I want to loop through an email folder and use the email body data to string out a URL and some other basic things. Essentially, I have an Input of Email Body Data and need to string out a URL and return it back to the parent bot.  I have this scenario for multiple things…..some more complex than others.  In other programming I would use a Function to do this… Function GetURL (emailBody)       ‘Do some stuff        GetURL = myURLEnd Function I’m having issues doing this in a loop using emails.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Here is the basic idea: Email Loop >>>>>>>>>>         Email1……..etc                    GetURL(Input=Email1Data, Output=URL)                   GetSSN(Input=URL, Output=SSN)                   GetTaskType(Input=URL, Output=TaskType)                   GetPPLSoftFlag(Input=SSN, Output=Yes or No)                   GetOracleFlag(Input=SSN, Output=Yes or No)                   GetLegacyFlag(

Connection between SAP and AA 360

Can we automate applications in Chinese and Korean languages using AA360?

Hi Team,We need to automate web applications in Chinese and Korean. Does AA360 support Chinese and Korean languages. Can we use recorder to perform all operations on the websites just as English Language.  Even the input data to the bot will be Chinese and Korean. Can we perform string manipulation using AA360 in these languages?  Please let me know the configuration changes that have to be made to enable automation of applications using these languages. Links to Documentation on the supported languages will be very helpful

IQ Bot Validation queue files

Hi readers, My project consists of IQ Bot which is divided into two parts : A) Uploading files B) Making the files end up in validation queue.(even if it is extracted properly)These files will then be manually checked by business team but the files in validation queue is not visible to them as they are using different account. I have ensured they have AAE_IQ Bot Validator system role also yet they are not able to see the files queued in validator. Is there any other system role that has to be enabled? Kindly let me know.

下記現象になっていて、最適な解決方法が分からず困っています。【現象】処理が終了するとダイアログウィンドウを表示するアプリケーションがあります。ダイアログウィンドウが表示するのを待って次のフローに進めたいので、「If」アクションで「ウィンドウが存在する」を使ってみたところ、ダイアログウィンドウが表示してないのに、すぐIf判定が真になる動作をします。「If」アクションで「レコーダー オブジェクトが存在します」を使ってみたところ、ダイアログウィンドウが表示してもIf判定は真にならず、試行時間に設定している時間が経過するまでIf判定は真になりません。仕方がないので、「If」アクションで「画像認識」を使ってうまくいきました。下記検証結果から、メインウィンドウとダイアログウィンドウのTitleが同一のときに発生する現象だと考えています。【検証】ダイアログウィンドウを表示する検証用のアプリケーションを作って試したところ、メインウィンドウとダイアログウィンドウでTitleが異なる場合には、「If」アクションで「ウィンドウが存在する」を使ってダイアログウィンドウが表示するのを待機することができました。【質問事項】ウィンドウTitleが同一のウィンドウが複数存在するときは、画像認識を使って待機させるしか方法は無いのでしょうか。メインウィンドウとダイアログウィンドウのTitleは同一ですが、Classが異なっていることは確認済です。ウィンドウを指定するときにTitleだけでなくClassとか指定する方法があれば、解決すると思いますが、その方法が分かりません。

Why the Excel file can not be open using \*xlsm

Recently AA cannot open Excel file using command.Excel Open Spreadsheet E:\Data\02_Master\YEA_ENG_05\5K00\202211\*.xlsxBut this is working before.Is the * wildcard is not working for this case?Anyone has similar experence?

Can we specify a subset of runner machines from the Device pool to run a WLM automation?

We have a device pool having 5 runner machines. Several WLM automations are scheduled on this pool. We need to deploy one more WLM automation but that requires configuration which is done on only two runners. Can I still use the same device pool to create an automation and specify just those 2 machines. Note- The other WLM automations can run on any of the 5 machines hence we cannot reduce the devices in this device pool.

IQ bot validator queue

Hello reader,My project involves extracting data from invoices and hence I am using IQ bot. After uploading and finishing the extraction of data from invoice, I want it go straight to validator queue even if there is no data missing. So how do I make all the invoices go to validator queue before downloading it? (PS : I want it to go to validation queue even if the fields are extracted because business team will verify if data is extracted correctly, only then I will have to proceed.)
