As of 9/30/2024 I can no longer see the windows service (and cannot stop a bot running)

Hi All,As of 9/30/2024 I can no longer see the Automation Anywhere service in my services window.  Restarting that service is how I usually stop a bot which is running.  Did the method of running the workstation service change with an update today?Thanks,Rob

Email: Move doesn't work

Hello,Email: Move doesn’t seem to work.I want to move an email from Inbox to a subfolder and it just tells me the folder doesn’t exist even when it can read the mail and i can move that mail into the folder manually.Email: Check if folder exists returns true.Folder in Outlook: Loop:Move:  Has anybody ever managed to get that to work and how?Thanks for your help.

In AA360, I need to extract particular value from the invoice.  For example ; Invoice No  123345 But this path (x and y) will get changes for pdf to pdfs. So i cant use extract Field activity. Please suggest any idea

Looking for suggestions on logging or Log to File error handling

Currently all of our bots write to log files in a central location on a file share server. These logs contain information about what steps a bot has performed and are used for troubleshooting. Sometimes bots fail after hours because the file share server is getting patched and the bot cannot access the log file. I don’t want an entire process to fail because the bot couldn’t write to the log. I could put each log to file action in a try catch, but it would be tedious to update existing bots and make the code very long. Fifty lines of code would become two hundred.We’ve considered other options, but they come with their own challenges:Log to database - same patching problem would occur Log to the local device - we currently have 14 bot running devices and it would be difficult to track down individual logs In Catch, check the box for “On error, continue with next action” - this would only work if each write to log action was in a try catch block. Otherwise if there is an application err

Browser Automation Seems Unable to Capture Elements in Modal

I am just curious if anyone has encountered this before. I am currently converting a bot from using standard Recorder actions to using the Browser Automation package. Everything works as expected with the exception of capturing data from a pop-up modal window.The screenshot shows the Recorder way of capturing the table in the dialog box. The bot then runs through each row in the table and, if it meets certain criteria, downloads the associated PDF. This method works well.With the Browser Automation package, however I cannot seem to capture any of the elements. I have attempted by the full XPath, the ID, and the CS Selector, but no joy. I can capture nothing in the dialog box, whether the full table (what I am after) or just the “3 documents sent.” text at the top; they all return null. As a test, in the console of the page I can do something like document.getElementById(<text ID>).textContent; and I get what I would expect. However doing the same in Browser Automation:Execute Jav

problem reading json file if scandinavian letters included

Hello!If I use Scandinavian letters in dictionary. I cannot read JSON file. example letter ‘ä’ is problem. Log to file Encoding UTF8 is actually UTF-8 BOM and seems like AA only read UTF-8 JSON files.I fix this issue dirty way using notepad++ convert json file UTF-8 BOM => UTF-8 and JSON file can be read after. Can we get this work without external app use. Please.picture is just a example workbenchinput dic: key: ‘avain’ value ‘ääkkönen’

Has someone fetched auto-login credentials from Azure Key Vault?

Hello, I’m using A360 v28 and doing some testing with Azure Key Vault. I can fetch standard credentials without any issue but I can’t fetch auto-login credentials. I have followed the (not very comprehensive) guideline from this link but they are far from explanatory Would appreciate some help if you know how to do this, Thanks!

Getting error - "system administrative has set polices to prevent the installations"

HiIn Automation Anywhere 360, I downloaded the Bot Agent to connect my local device and attempted to install it. However, during the "Automation Anywhere Bot Agent - InstallShield Wizard" process, I selected "Only for me" and clicked install. I received an error message from the Windows Installer stating, "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation

Unable to download the bot or the dependencies to the device

I’ve looked through the other forum posts about this issue. There’s no concreate fix for this. I’ve done a lot of the standard stuff, reboot VM, PC, uninstall/reinstall bot agent. Nothing works...kind of. The bot will run once, and then it will throw the error for a while before working again. What’s annoying is I can run a different bot no problem. Does anyone have something else for me to try to get the one bot to run (in succession) ?

Bot Deploy Failed

We have a new A360 on-prem control room installation and any attempt to deploy to a bot runner fails with a generic “deploy failed” message. Upon some investigation, the global cache isn’t getting populated and there is no files in %AppData%\Local\Automation Anywhere directory (resources or messaging) like on our other working on-prem instances.So far, I’ve tried adding/removing devices from the control room, which necessitates uninstalling and reinstalling the bot agent. The control room will show the device as connected as well. I don’t know exactly what control room log files would have the best info, but most of the ones I check don't have any error messages that look promising for diagnosing what’s going on.

Not able to delete activities from In progress section

I am using Community edition. I was performing document automation for that few processes were added in “In Progress” tab. Now I want to delete those activities from “In Progress” tab. But I am unable to delete that. I tried to delete my device so that these activities will automatically removed. But Because those activities were in progress state I can’t delete my device. Please help me with deleting those activity from “In Progress” tab
