What stood out most this week was the shift from traditional RPA to Agentic Process Automation (APA) — bringing in intelligent agents that can actually think, adapt, and make decisions. When combined with GenAI, it opens up way more impactful automation possibilities. 🤖✨

What really stuck with me, though, was the focus on AI Governance. More and more clients are asking about transparency, audit trails, and responsible AI — and APA checks all the boxes. From model traceability to built-in compliance features, it’s not just smart automation, it’s trustworthy automation. ✅🔍

Also, loving the vibe here — automation nerds unite! 🤓 And who knew swag could spark this much motivation? Let’s keep the momentum (and bots) rolling! 🚀

Hello everyone,

In Week 1 of the APA Training Camp, what stood out to me the most is how Automation Anywhere is positioning Agentic Process Automation (APA) to evolve beyond traditional task-based automation. The concept of bots functioning as intelligent agents that can reason, adapt, and collaborate resonated strongly because it aligns closely with the challenges we face in real-world automation.

Personally, this week has expanded my view of what's possible — especially the way APA integrates AI to make bots more autonomous in handling complex, multi-step processes. In our environment, where we deal with frequent exceptions and variable workflows, this opens up exciting opportunities to build bots that can manage exceptions on their own, trigger human collaboration only when needed, and continuously learn from data patterns.

From a team perspective, I see this as a steppingstone for us to shift our automation mindset - moving from simple process automation to designing intelligent, end-to-end workflows that deliver more value and require less maintenance over time. I'm looking forward to carrying these insights into our discussions and future projects as we continue to explore APA capabilities in the coming weeks.

Yes @Shoeb Shaikh A360, Absolutely — one thing that really stood out this week is how Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) bridges the trust gap. A lot of people still get sceptical when they hear “AI” and think it’s here to fully replace human judgment or take over high-stakes decisions. But HITL shows that AI isn't working instead of us — it's working with us. Bringing in human validation at the right points, especially in sensitive or high-risk processes, not only improves accuracy but also builds real confidence in the system. It’s that sweet spot between innovation and control — and for clients who are still warming up to GenAI, it's a total game-changer. 🙌🤝

Hello Fellow Automators,

One key takeaway for me was about what kind of problems we can solve with help of APA, which we got to understand from the capabilities of APA explained in the course  eg: N.E.R and Extraction, decision making etc. I loved the concept of understanding capabilities to understand what kind of use cases we can build, I think this was the perfect way to start.

This knowledge will definitely help us for the rest of the camp but most importantly to find/understand use cases when we apply this day to day in our work.

Great start guys!

Cheers!

Hello friends! Greetings from Costa Rica

One key takeaway that resonated with me this week was the importance of understanding how to design efficient and scalable automation solutions using Automation Anywhere’s foundational tools. Learning about task bots, new control room functionality, and best practices for bot development has given me a clearer picture of how to structure automation processes in a way that optimizes business operations.

As we move forward in the training camp, I envision applying this knowledge to improve the quality of automation solutions delivered to the business, adding AI inputs to help us get a better result.

To be able to desig bots that are not only functional but also maintainable and efficient, I aim to contribute to process optimization, reduce manual workloads, and ensure accurate handling of business-critical information. This foundation will help us build automations that truly align with organizational goals and drive measurable value.

I thought the discussion on the Agentic Framework was excellent -  I haven’t given the AI solution challenges that much thought so, this framework really hit me as to the differences and challenges we will have with Agentic solutions vs a pure BOT solution.

this framework is very similar to the BOT automation governance framework that we have been using in our RPA journey.  Our program will need to consider how to navigate these new considerations.

The trainings, as usual, are absolutely exceptional! Great job!

Leader Trail - I truly appreciate and learned so much from Aligning with Organizational Priorities & AI Goals. Many times we struggle with Stakeholder and Executive conversations not only regarding AI but RPA in general. Have a good base of questions to ask will help tremendously.

Dev Trail - HITL resonated with me for this week. Introducing steps for humans to complete will assist  with a more broader approach to our solutions.

Cheers!

Shaun

This week highlighted the exciting shift to Agentic Process Automation with a strong focus on AI governance, foundational consistency, and building scalable, trustworthy solutions. Also the capability management was a great add to the view of what can be automated to what am I solving. The knowledge of capability management discussed gives a greater view of what an APA can do integrating with the existing RPA task bots and Metabots currently we have running.

A key takeaway from this week's courses on Agentic Process Automation for me is the emphasis on the autonomous and adaptive nature of intelligent agents. The idea that these agents can not only execute predefined tasks but also learn, make decisions, and adjust their approach based on the context and outcomes is a significant shift from traditional robotic process automation (RPA). This concept of "agency" – the ability to act independently to achieve goals – is incredibly powerful.

I envision applying this foundational knowledge as we progress in the training camp by focusing on how to design and implement agentic solutions that go beyond simple task automation. Instead of just scripting a sequence of steps, I'll be looking for opportunities to leverage the agent's intelligence to handle exceptions, optimize workflows dynamically, and even proactively identify areas for improvement.

Specifically, I anticipate that understanding the core principles of agent autonomy and adaptability will be crucial when we delve into more advanced topics such as:

1. Handling Unstructured Data: Agentic systems seem better equipped to process and extract insights from varied and less predictable data formats.

2. Complex Decision-Making: The ability of agents to learn and reason will be vital for automating processes that require nuanced judgments.

3. Continuous Improvement: By understanding how agents can monitor their performance and adapt, we can build systems that evolve and become more efficient over time.

4. Building our own model

I'm excited to explore how to practically build and manage these intelligent agents throughout the training camp.

Key Takeaways from Week 1 – APA Developer Training:

  1. Deploying smart agents that can process context, adapt quickly, and act autonomously.

  2. Human-in-the-Loop Integration: Emphasized the importance of designing APA systems that bring humans into critical decision points, ensuring accountability, control, and better outcomes.

  3. Model Creation:Learned the fundamentals of building, training, and integrating models within the APA framework to drive intelligent automation.

One of the key takeaways from this week's APA training was the importance of understanding the agentic mindset—approaching automation not just as a tool, but as a collaborative digital partner that can adapt and evolve alongside human workflows. The idea that agents can be proactive, context-aware, and goal-oriented really shifted how I think about automation potential.

As we move forward in the training camp, I’m excited to apply this foundational knowledge by identifying opportunities where automation agents can go beyond rule-based tasks and start making intelligent decisions that support dynamic business processes. This mindset opens up a whole new level of innovation and efficiency!

Looking forward to learning from everyone else's insights too!

What a great way to start the Week 1 of this training camp by building the foundations and creating a framework for us to follow in the coming weeks!👍

🔑 Here’s My Key Takeaway from Week 1:

“It’s not RPA vs. AI Agents — it’s RPA and AI Agents, working together to build an intelligent, scalable automation ecosystem.”🤖⚙️🧠
This powerful mindset shift really resonated with me! Instead of viewing AI Agents as a replacement, the framework encourages us to think holistically — leveraging RPA for executional strength and AI Agents for dynamic decision-making. It’s a collaborative ecosystem, not a competition. 🌐

🚀 Here’s How I’ll Apply This Knowledge:

As we progress in this training camp, I envision using this foundational knowledge to strategically map AI capabilities (like Summarization or Decision-Making) to real-world use cases within my organization. I’ll apply the APA Enablement Framework to align solutions with business goals, while always considering stakeholder trust and governance.🛠️📈💼
And of course, I’m excited to integrate Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) for high-risk or judgment-driven scenarios — turning automation into augmentation, not replacement.🙋‍♂️🤝🤖

Ready to build that “army of powerful automations” — one smart use case at a time!💪🔥

Let’s go, Week 2!

Cheers!😊

After Week 1, it’s clear we’re not just evolving automation—we’re reimagining it.

What really blew my mind was how APA is shifting automation from "rule-following bots" to "goal-driven agents." It’s like we’ve gone from autopilot to co-pilot — these intelligent agents don’t just do, they decide, adapt, and evolve.

But what sealed the deal for me? The APA Enablement Framework. It’s not just tech—it’s a strategic blueprint. It helps align every capability (AI, automation, governance, human-in-the-loop) into a powerful ecosystem that actually thinks before it acts.

I’m already thinking about how to apply this in my org:

Map out quick wins using the Pathfinder model

Bake in AI governance from day one

Design agents that know when to loop in humans, and when to handle business on their own

This isn’t just a training—it’s the future of automation, and we’re building it together.

Let’s go make our bots smarter, our systems leaner, and our lives a whole lot easier.

And hey, if I can look good doing it in APA swag? Even better.

A key takeaway for me is using RPA and APA together, not competing against each other. I think we were concerned that APA would make all of the work we did in the RPA space irrelevant which isn’t the case. I will continue to keep this in mind as I go through the training and hopefully it will help me to see how we can implement APA in my organization.
