Question

Not able to connect my device in Control Room

I have tried many times to connect my device to the control room but it’s not getting passed this screen. I tried in many different systems, in different browsers but nothing worked. Bot Agent installation gets completed but after that nothing happens.

How to troubleshoot and move forward?

@PeuM Please search here since this question has been answered multiple times before.

Short version: Check extension, anti-virus, firewall, then check with IT.

@PeuM You may try enabling this “Apps on device” if this is not enabled already before proceeding with the Bot agent installation.

@ullas.c Uninstall the Bot Agent and reinstall it.

Please check if the BOT Agent Service is running. Try giving it a restart.

Task Manager - Services Tab - Locate the Agent Service - Right Click - Restart.

Try removing the device from Community edition, uninstall the BOT agent and then reinstall on the AA Control room provided

Everyone, what’s happening when the computer is “stuck” at that point is that it is waiting for feedback from the Automation Anywhere browser extension. That browser extension must be enabled.

The browser extension then checks the Automation Anywhere Bot Agent service to see that it’s running. If that’s not installed, enabled, and running, it will not continue.

Anti-virus, firewall, MDM, and all sorts of other software can interfere here. Disable what you’re comfortable disabling -- at least temporarily -- and try again. If you’re still having issues, check with your IT department in case they have silent-running software (like MDM) that could interfere.

Worst case, use a personal device that you know doesn’t have all the software that could interfere or… just don’t install the Bot Agent. Most of the things in the Pathfinder Training Camp can run without one.

What won’t work without a Bot Agent:

• Task Bots

• Testing AI Skills

Otherwise, it will all work.
