Did you miss APA Training Camp? Don’t worry! The courses are still available and you’re in the right place!

Welcome to the APA Training Camp | Developer Track Guide! Agentic Process Automation Training Camp is a comprehensive 4-week virtual training program designed to accelerate AI adoption within organizations. This free course trail is designed to help Developers successfully build end-to-end Agentic Process Automations (APA).

➡️ To start the Developer track, go here to the APA Developer Masterclass and click “Start Now.” This ensures that you’ll get your certificate after completing all the courses. Below you’ll see an overview of the courses, along with weekly activities to support your learning. This course is intended to take 4 weeks, but feel free to move at your own pace. If you have questions throughout the training, please reach out to Learning@automationanywhere.com

Before getting started, please note that in order to complete the Developer Track courses, you will need access to a control room. If you do not have access but still want an introduction to APA, our Automation Leader Track does not require such access and is available here.

Week 1 | An Introduction to APA

In week 1 you will start with an introduction to APA and an enablement framework, before diving into implementation and technical foundations. These courses should take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Don't have a University account yet? Create one to get started with this week's courses, then complete the courses here.

  1. Introduction to Agentic Process Automation (APA)
  2. Facilitating Transformation with the APA Enablement Framework
  3. Solving Problems with Agentic Process Automation
  4. Exploring Technologies that Power APA Transformation
  5. Integrating Human-in-the-Loop with Automation Anywhere
  6. Establishing Model Connections and AI Governance

Schedule time with your automation team to complete the downloadable Week 1 Team Discussion Guide and Week 1 Activity. These activities facilitate collaborative discussions around APA capabilities and evaluations for your current programs and help you pinpoint the next steps in incorporating agentic process automations.

Week 2 | AI Skills and Effective Prompting

The theme for week 2 is all about AI skills. These courses should take approximately 1 and a half hours to complete. Go here to start the following courses:

  1. Crafting Effective Prompts with Costar Framework
  2. Classifying Data with AI Agents
  3. Analyzing Sentiment with AI Agents
  4. Extracting Named Entities with Generative AI
  5. Testing AI Accuracy with F1 Scores
  6. Transforming Data with AI Agents

Once you’ve completed the courses, complete the team activities. This week’s activities will help you identify where your team has skill gaps and help you create a plan to address them. Schedule a meeting with your automation team, and ask everyone to complete their self assessment prior to the meeting. Use the discussion guide to facilitate a conversation around the competency matrix and then create an upskilling action plan.

  1. Review this week’s Discussion Guide on Building Team Expertise for Agentic Process Automation
  2. Then, complete the Self Assessment of your current skills
  3. Next, as a team, complete the Competency Matrix
  4. Finally, build out your Upskilling Action Plan

For ease of review, we created an xlsx that includes the Competency Matrix and the Upskilling Action Plan on different tabs.

To get you started, we provided three example use cases and we broken them down using the "Have" and "Need" concept.
