Welcome to APA Training Camp | Automation Lead Track Guide! Agentic Process Automation Training Camp is a comprehensive 4-week virtual training program designed to accelerate AI adoption within organizations. This free course trail is designed to help Automation Leaders successfully transition their organization’s automation program from RPA to Agentic Process Automation (APA).

Below you’ll see an overview of the courses, along with weekly activities to support your learning. This course is intended to take 4 weeks, but feel free to move at your own pace. Week 1 | An Introduction to APA

In week 1 you will learn how AI agents, automation tools, and human oversight work together and begin to align automation strategies within your current organizational goals. These courses should take about 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete. Don't have a University account yet? Create one to get started then, go here to start the Masterclass.

Schedule time with your automation team to complete the downloadable Week 1 Team Discussion Guide and Week 1 Activity. These activities facilitate collaborative discussions around APA capabilities and evaluations for your current programs and help you pinpoint the next steps in incorporating agentic process automations. 

 

Week 2 | Talent Development and Risk Management

The theme for week 2 is all about how to manage AI risk and develop talent for Gen AI programs by addressing the skills necessary for successful AI implementation. These courses should take approximately 1 hour to complete. Go here to start on the following courses:

  2. Monitoring and Optimizing AI Capabilities
  3. Managing AI Risk Effectively
  4. Controlling Access and Auditing Use
  5. Testing Generative AI

This week’s activities will help you identify where your team has skill gaps and help you create a plan to address them. Schedule a meeting with your automation team, and ask everyone to complete their self assessment prior to the meeting. Use the discussion guide to facilitate a conversation around the competency matrix and then create an upskilling action plan.

  2. Then, complete the Self Assessment of your current skills
  3. Next, as a team, complete the Competency Matrix
  4. Finally, build out your Upskilling Action Plan

For ease of review, we created an xlsx that includes the Competency Matrix and the Upskilling Action Plan on different tabs.

 

Week 3 | Enterprise Integration and Governance

This week’s courses are designed to take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete. Go here to start on the following courses:

  1. Educating Stakeholders and Aligning on Use Cases
  2. Engaging and Preparing AI Governance Councils
  3. Assessing AI Business Cases
  4. Building a New Model Risk Framework (optional)

Then, you're going to get practice using the "Have" and "Need" concept explained in courses this week. Gather your team and determine which process in your organization you want to deconstruct so you can see where AI skills can assist. To get you started, we provided three example use cases and we broken them down using the "Have" and "Need" concept.

Week 4 | Application and Execution

This week’s courses are designed to take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Go here to start on the following courses:

  1. Executing a Generative AI Pilot
  2. Applying the Nine Steps for APA Success

You can access the assessment once all the courses in this learning trail are completed. It should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Please note: The certificate of completion will be issued only if all the courses are completed and the assessment is cleared.

The resources for this week are designed to help your team explore the steps necessary to begin your transformation to Agentic Process Automation. As a team, you will work through where you are on your journey and talk through specific considerations for taking action. After that, you will dive into the opportunity assessment and define your Business Impact Score for each item, along with the Feasibility Score.
