So we have a bot account that was created, it’s only task was so we can use it to make API calls. Instead it will call botrunner2 which does have a license and actively runs bots. This does normally work, but when the taskbot is updated this fails. The REST request gets “200 ok” but the bot doesn’t run, instead in the audit logs we see “Run bot pre processing failed” with control room as the source.
To fix this bug, you can Run the bot so it shows up in the “In Progress” tab, wither the bot runs or not doesn’t matter (for me). After it was ran once, it will no longer fail at pre processing and start running the bot as normal.
My question is does anyone know a way around the need to run the bot once before it will actively work?
