There's a moment in every technology shift when the people who get there first stop being early adopters and start being the ones everyone else calls.

We think that moment for AI automation is now. And we're building the credential to mark it.

At Imagine Dallas and Imagine India, we're launching the AI Automation Engineer Certification. The people who complete it will be the first certified Automation Anywhere AI Automation Engineers in the world.

What Is the AI Automation Engineer Certification?

The AI Automation Engineer Certification is designed for the people want to lead AI adoption, architect AI projects, and build the agentic automations that will accelerate results for their organizations.

A certified AI Automation Engineer can do three things well: identify the right opportunities for agentic automation and make the business case for them, design and build the solution, and evaluate whether it's actually working. That combination — strategic judgment and technical execution — is what separates the people who talk about AI automation from the people who deliver it.

This credential demonstrates what you can build and the business impact you can drive with it.

Certification Training Live at Imagine: Build It to Earn It

If you're attending either Imagine Dallas or Imagine India and you want to earn the certification, there's a dedicated hands-on track built specifically for you. By the end of each conference, you'll walk away with a complete agentic solution you built yourself, and a voucher to sit the AI Automation Engineer Certification exam.

Look... we can’t cover the entire certification training while live at Imagine. So, when you sign up in advance, you’ll get early access to the online courses. During the live training at Imagine, we’ll focus on hands-on components so you can ask questions and get help live with our experts.

Here's what the entire certification training covers:

Foundations of Agentic Process Automation

Everything starts here. You'll learn what APA is, how it works, and how the Automation Anywhere platform brings it to life. You'll understand the role of tools in agentic automation and build the conceptual foundation you'll need for everything that follows.

Building a Business Case and Solution Design

Before you build, you need to know what to build and why. This section covers the Agentic Design Framework, how APA drives ROI, and how to approach automation with a process-first mindset. You'll learn solution patterns and develop the thinking needed to translate a business problem into a well-designed agentic solution.

Building Automations and Tools for Agents

Agents are only as capable as the tools you give them. This section covers the core building blocks of AI-powered automation: Task Bots and API Tasks, working with APIs and systems of record, error handling and debugging, OAuth integrations, the Generative AI package, and Automation Cloud Services. You'll also cover Co-Pilot for automators, connector building, working with local files, and how to integrate languages like Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell — including using an LLM to write that code for you.

Building Intelligence Capabilities

This is where automation becomes intelligent. You'll learn to build and evaluate AI Skills, select and test models, apply prompting best practices, and work with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) using both native RAG and the Automation Anywhere Knowledge Base. You'll also cover Document Automation and UI Agents (computer use) — giving your automations the ability to see, read, and act on unstructured content.

Building and Evaluating AI Agents

You'll move from components to complete agents. This section covers how to define agent goals, develop and test goal-based agents using AI Agent Studio, and apply best practices for agentic design. You'll learn when to use built-in capabilities versus custom code, and how to evaluate your agents to make sure they're performing as intended.

Agent Orchestration and Collaboration

Agents don't work alone. This section covers how to bring everything together using Mozart Orchestrator — including Process Composer, agentic orchestration, and multi-agent coordination via MCP and A2A protocols. You'll also cover human-agent collaboration through Co-Pilot for business users, custom forms, and conversational AI, plus LLM-as-a-Judge for validating your builds.

Reliability, Governance and Best Practices

Building agents is one thing. Running them responsibly at scale is another. This section covers AI governance, data masking, advanced error handling, deployment strategies, version control, and how to benchmark and communicate outcomes using evals and LLM-as-a-Judge. You'll leave knowing how to build AI automation that organizations can actually trust.

Capstone Project

You'll apply everything across a real-world end-to-end build — demonstrating mastery of the full AI automation lifecycle from solution design through deployment. The capstone is your proof of work, and the final step before your certification exam voucher.

Two Events. One Historic Cohort.

Imagine Dallas
May 19-20

Imagine India
July 3

Register for Imagine first, and then complete this form using your Imagine Ticket number. Happening in the heart Bengaluru. Register here for the Imagine Pass with Certification.

Why Now?

Agentic automation is moving fast. The organizations pulling ahead are enabling their people to design and build agentic solutions that make an impact to their strategic goals.

The AI Automation Engineer Certification training is your opportunity to help lead your company forward. You’ll learn to evaluate a business problem, recognize the signs of a good agentic use case, design the right solution, build it, evaluate it, and put it into production. That skill set is rare right now.

Being in the first cohort means you hold the credential before the job descriptions start requiring it – and they will soon.
