Hello Pathfinders!

We wrapped up our Pathfinder Meetup in Bengaluru last month. Here’s what went down (with insights you can put to use right away) - and why you’ll want to join us next time.

🚀 Agentic Process Automation: The Next Leap
We kicked off with a deep dive into Agentic Process Automation (APA). Nishikant N, Director - Product Management walked us through the “what, why, and how” of APA, showing how it’s more than just the next step after RPA. APA brings together AI agents, humans, and automation to orchestrate complex processes, make context-aware decisions, and adapt in real time.

Key Takeaways:

  • APA agents can reason, learn, and act autonomously, not just follow static scripts.
  • The Process Reasoning Engine (PRE) enables agents to interpret context and optimize outcomes dynamically.
  • Governance, security, and compliance are integrated into the platform, allowing you to scale automation confidently while maintaining control.

The Latest and Greatest from A360.39
Our session on A360.39’s top features gave a look at why this is a developer’s playground for scalable, enterprise-grade automation.

  • Goal-Based Agents: APA introduces agents that operate with a goal-oriented approach. Rather than following rigid, predefined scripts, these agents are designed to solve specific business outcomes. They can dynamically adapt workflows, make decisions based on real-time data and collaborate with other agents or humans to achieve the set goals.
  • Process Dashboard: The platform provides a process dashboard, giving developers and business users a real-time view of automation performance, process health, and key metrics. You can monitor workflows, track exceptions, and get actionable insights to continuously optimize your automations.
  • Split and Merge: A360 supports split and merge operations within process flows. This means you can break down complex processes into parallel tasks (split), run them simultaneously, and then recombine the results (merge) for streamlined execution. This is especially useful for processes that can be parallelized, improving speed and resource utilization.
  • Multimodal Capabilities: You asked and we heard! Our AI Skills will now have multimodal capabilities. This will allow your tools to interact with users and systems through various channels and data types - such as text, voice, images, and structured documents. Now, your agentic processes can handle a wide range of real-world scenarios and user inputs, making your solutions more robust and versatile.

Amarnath Reddy Chavva, Principal Product Manager also highlighted the platform’s integrated security, compliance, and governance features - such as real-time monitoring, audit trails, and data protection, so you can automate at scale with confidence and control. Customer Demo: Smarter Pricing Decisions with Automated Competitive Price Scraping
Vinothkumar Chennaiyan, Automation Solution Architect at HP gave a demo of their Competitive Price Scraping solution changes the game by using self-healing AI agents to automatically extract and consolidate competitor pricing from procurement portals and contract award documents.

This automation eliminates tedious manual research, reduces errors, and ensures teams always have up-to-date, actionable insights. Unlike traditional bots that break when websites change, self-healing AI agents adapt seamlessly, minimizing maintenance and support. With this approach, HP empowers its teams to make faster, more confident pricing decisions - boosting win rates and profitability, all while reducing effort and risk.

Hands-On: Building a Go-To-Market AI Agent
Shreya Kumar, Technical Community Specialist led a hands-on session where we built a go-to-market AI agent using our platform’s latest features. Attendees stepped into the shoes of sales representatives to tackle a common set of challenges faced in real-world sales operations.

As sales reps, handling typical tasks like managing leads, updating CRM entries, and following up with prospects are activities that are often repetitive and time-consuming, making them ideal candidates for automation. Common challenges include data duplication from entering information in multiple systems, manual data entry errors, missed follow-ups due to lack of reminders, and inconsistent processes that lead to varied customer experiences and reporting.

The hands-on session guided participants through building an AI-powered agent using Automation Anywhere’s AI Agent Studio to streamline and automate the sales workflow:

  • Automated Lead Capture: The agent can extract lead information from emails or web forms and automatically populate the CRM, eliminating duplicate entry.
  • Deduplication Logic: Built-in checks identify and merge duplicate records, ensuring clean and accurate data.
  • Automated Follow-Up Reminders: The agent schedules and sends reminders for timely customer follow-ups, reducing the risk of missed opportunities.
  • Process Standardization: Automation enforces consistent workflows, so every lead and customer is handled according to best practices.

The session highlighted a developer experience where low-code tools, drag-and-drop components, and prebuilt templates make it easy to build, test, and deploy end-to-end sales automation, all monitored through real-time dashboards. This hands-on approach showed how agentic automation streamlines sales operations, reduces manual effort, and delivers practical skills developers can apply immediately.

The conversations were lively, technical, and full of practical insights. Wondering where we’re headed next? Check it out here
