Automation Anywhere Team

On August 8th, the Mumbai developer community filled a room to talk agentic process automation, dig into the latest product updates, and get hands-on with building an AI Agent. Yes, this recap is later than we planned but the timing works out, because the next Mumbai meetup is coming up in December, and what follows should give you a good picture of what you will be signing up for.

Setting the Stage: Agentic Process Automation

The session kicked off with a deep dive into agentic process automation - what it actually means, where it’s headed, and how developers can start building toward it today. The room was buzzing from the start, which set the tone for everything that followed.

What’s New (.41 Release)

Operations Centre with Custom Dashboards
A unified interface that brings monitoring, activity tracking, and insights together in one place. The new drag-and-drop dashboard builder lets teams create custom views with multiple chart types, drill-downs, and filters - no more context-switching between tools or waiting on IT for a report. Teams using it are seeing significant time saved on report creation and faster issue detection.

AI Governance & Traceability
As AI Agents become more central to automation workflows, governance becomes non-negotiable. This feature brings real-time traceability for both native and third-party AI Agent executions, full auditability of agent activity, and continuous oversight of active, in-progress, and failed runs. It also covers MCP (Model Context Protocol) server tool calls: meaning third-party AI assistants like ChatGPT, MS Copilot, or Gemini can now discover and trigger Automation Anywhere automations through an open standard with no lock-in.

Document Evaluations
If you work with document automation, this one’s for you. Document Evaluations lets you set a ground truth baseline once and then measure extraction accuracy across every version you test - at the field, table, and document level. Batch-level reporting is built in, so you can download a consolidated accuracy report instead of rebuilding formulas in Excel every time you make a change. (We’ve all been there.)

Aisera: Autonomous Service Desk
The Aisera update focuses on keeping knowledge bases current automatically. The platform now reads resolved tickets, identifies knowledge gaps, and drafts section-level KB updates with citations - which a human can approve in one click. The result: fewer stale articles, better self-service coverage, and meaningful ticket deflection numbers quarter over quarter.

HR AI Agent: Hands-On Demo

We also hosted a hands-on session to put theory into practice - using AI Agent Studio. Participants got a guided walkthrough on building a Job Talent Acquisition AI Agent using Agentic Process Automation (APA). The session covered:

  • Setting up the APA environment in our Control Room: Step-by-step instructions on initializing your workspace and accessing Automation Anywhere tools.
  • Defining agent goals: How to configure the agent to handle end-to-end talent acquisition, from candidate sourcing to initial screening.
  • Integrating with external systems: Demonstrations on connecting the agent with job boards and HR systems for seamless data flow.
  • Customizing workflows: Attendees learned how to tailor the agent’s behavior using advanced features, such as conditional logic and automated follow-ups.
  • Testing and iterating: The session encouraged experimentation, allowing everyone to test their agents in real-time and refine their workflows based on immediate feedback.

The collaborative environment encouraged peer learning, with participants sharing tips and troubleshooting together. By the end, many walked away with a working prototype and a clear understanding of how APA can be leveraged for practical business solutions.

The Energy in the Room

Honestly, the crowd made this one. Ice breakers got people talking early, and by the time the demos were running, the questions were flying. Congratulations to all the winners of the games and community awards!

A hugeee shoutout to our awesome Community Captain @zaid.chougle for leading this meetup and engaging the community!

What’s Coming Next

If the meetup sparked some ideas, here’s where to keep the momentum going. Developer Meetups and Product Clubs happen monthly so you can learn more about the latest and greatest in A360. University has AI Automation Engineer Certification live now. The Agentic Edge podcast is worth a listen for the architectural thinking behind agentic automation.

ANNND 🥁🥁🥁🥁

Mark your calendar: the next Mumbai meetup is on 5th December. If the August meetup is any guide, expect a room full of developers who ask sharp questions and a great agenda built around agentic process automation. Community awards are likely to make a return too, so come ready to talk to people and maybe walk away with a trophy. See you there!
