Hallo,

i have some concerns about Upgrading grom AAe 360 On-Prem v.21 to newest version:

  • What about the BOTs developed in the v.21, will they run in the newest version flawlessly? If not, what is the scope of evaluation? for instance new package versiona may have some features absent in the packages which were used to develop these BOTs (expample NEW "If" function with Recorder Object Does/Doesen't Exist...)
  • Is the Bot Runner client application to be upgraded with the version coresponding with the New Control Room? Will the old Bots run in the Upgraded Bot Runner and Upgraded Browser Plugin?

Question comes from a New v24 version Relese Notes qoute: "Bot agent update: This release includes an optional Bot agent update. To use the new features in v.24 (including updates to Bot Migration, Browser, DLL, Process Discovery, and Recorder packages), update the Bot agent available with this release. However, note that if you want to run your existing bots, you do not have to update your Bot agent to this release."

  • Will the Old Bots run with upgraded Bot Runner client application with Bot packages downgraded to versions used when developing with older AAE version?

Looking for some advice,

greetings Michal

Hello,

>>With every upgrade there are new features released or old defects fixed, so it's recommended to use a new package of commands with a new build release.

  • Is the Bot Runner client application to be upgraded with the version coresponding with the New Control Room? Will the old Bots run in the Upgraded Bot Runner and Upgraded Browser Plugin?

>Yes with a new version of the control room you will get new version of bot agent.

>You can upgrade that according to your use case.

  • Will the Old Bots run with upgraded Bot Runner client application with Bot packages downgraded to versions used when developing with older AAE version?

>Yes

If you have any questions please let me know.
