Hi,

I am experiencing persistent issues while trying to connect to the Bot Store. Despite multiple attempts, I keep encountering the following error message:

"An unexpected problem occurred while connecting to Bot Store. Please contact your system administrator. The server is temporarily unavailable. Code: botstore.server.down"

EDIT: While I am able to connect to the Bot Store at https://botstore.automationanywhere.com/, I face issues when trying to access bots.

Specifically, I receive the following error message:

"Sorry, we can't seem to access your Control Room. Please log into your Control Room to see Excel Operation under the Bot Store tab in My Automations. Check your email for detailed installation instructions."

I just checked and was able to connect to the Bot Store. Try connecting directly: https://botstore.automationanywhere.com/

Hi Aaron,

I can access the Bot Store directly, but I am unable to add bots to my control room. See the screenshot below

So far so good… just checking everything… have you logged into the Bot Store from your Control Room?

Yes, this is where the following error occurs:

“An unexpected problem occurred while connecting to Bot Store. Please contact your system administrator. The server is temporarily unavailable. Code: botstore.server.down"

Looking at the Developer tools, when logging in I only see activity to the Control Room. This means the connectivity issue is between the Control Room and the Bot Store directly. This rules out your workstation’s connectivity (probably).

Network traffic while logging into the Bot Store from the Control Room

Are you using an on-prem Control Room?

If I understand what an on-prem control room is, I would say yes I am using on-prem control room. Our control room is managed by our IT Department with in my company.

An on-prem Control Room means you’re running the Automation Anywhere server in your private data center. The other option is a cloud-based Control Room that we (Automation Anywhere) manages.

If your Control Room is on-prem, then you need to engage your IT department and see if there are access restrictions assigned to the Control Room, and if they can allow-list the Control Room to have access to the botstore.automationanywhere.com site.

This seems pretty clear that they have put access restrictions on that server (which is good!) but that the restrictions are preventing the Control Room server from communicating with the Bot Store domain.

Thank you, turns out my IT has restrictions on access to the bot store, we have to get bots individually approved. Thank you for your help!
