Office 365 Excel execution of toolbar functions

Hello. The Office 365 Excel package appears to be an API package, which means when it runs you will not ‘see’ the spreadsheet (and of course you also then won’t see Excel toolbar functions).

With the Office 365 Excel package, are you able to initiate functions you would see in the Excel toolbar? In particular, I’m needing to initiate a ‘refresh all’ command. Is that able to be done with the Office 365 Excel package? Or do I need to manipulate the spreadsheet via a browser window or via a desktop version of Excel?
