I am running an sap report that exports to an excel spreadsheet. I want to use save workbook action but it wants a session name. How do I create a session without opening a workbook I don't need?

All I want to do is save the newly created workbook but I get the error "cant find open session" without opening an already existing workbook. If I do that, then AA wants to save that workbook instead of the exported one when I put in the save workbook action. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Dean,


When ever you export any report from SAP to excel, the file will be opened immediately once after it downloaded to our local system.


Please try to use "close window action" with title as your downloaded sheet name, it will close the excel application.


Now you can use open the downloaded excel with session name and you can proceed with your excel operations with the session name.
