Question

Email Tigger is not working in public

Forum|alt.badge.img

Troubleshoot the issue where email triggering is not working in the public environment.

Currently, my flow is in the public environment, and I have a Task Bot with an email trigger, along with a process.

First, I want to ensure that the email trigger is working. I need to understand how to run it and input the required values for the email trigger. Once the email trigger is functioning correctly, I will proceed to the work trigger, run the Task Bot, and then execute the process.

Know that a trigger completely consumes a bot runner device. Many times, it makes more sense to run your automation on a schedule. That way you can use that bot runner for something other than waiting for mail to appear. Be realistic with your SLA.

More details:
Device(Local) event trigger” run on bot machine parallelly in background and still allow any scheduled execution. When trigger criteria matches, it executes the corresponding bot. Problem with this was when machine restarted, local triggers were lost but this has been fixed and control room will push again the triggers to run in background. This still feels unreliable, need to setup device properly for this to work.

Trigger event” loop action within the bot will block other scheduled runs.

Web(cloud)event trigger” do not run on local bot runner, but they need different license.
