Does EMail Triggers required application to be open?

Hi All,

When we are running the bot using Email Triggers do the application(Outlook) need to be open I am using Outlook as the option to read an emails.

When using Email Triggers in Automation Anywhere A360 with Outlook, the Outlook application does not necessarily need to be open

To summarize:

Microsoft 365/Exchange: Outlook does not need to be open.
Local Outlook Client: Outlook might need to be open to ensure real-time email processing.
