iam trying to be a new devolper >>i am asking about 2 points

: Q1: new automation tools like  make,zapier,n8n   wiil it replace us ?

Q2: in future i think rpa can connect citizen edition with ai >> user write prompt .. ai agent understand it and make it as a code ..like cursor in the normal coding .

.so will be no need to me as a junior  rpa devoloper

>>>>>>>any answers for those 2 questions ,please.

Hi @a000hmedrpa,

No, these tools won't replace you. They are assistants that help with simple, repetitive tasks.

Developers are still essential for creative, complex, and customized work that these tools can't handle.

Similarly, AI in RPA will change, not eliminate, the junior developer role. You'll be needed to manage, refine, and oversee the automations that AI creates, especially for more complex processes. Your job will evolve to work alongside these new technologies.

As a new developer, the key is to adapt and focus on the skills that will be in high demand:

  • Embrace AI as a Tool: Learn to use AI code assistants and the AI features within RPA platforms to your advantage. This will make you a more efficient and valuable developer.

  • Focus on Higher-Level Skills: Concentrate on understanding business processes, solution design, and system architecture. These strategic skills are less susceptible to automation.

  • Develop Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to analyze a complex problem and design a robust, scalable solution will always be a core and valued skill for a developer.

As a mid-sized business owner, I can say quite simply: not everything is being "replaced by AI," even if it seems that way from the outside.

Q1: Tools like Zapier, Make, and n8n have long since ceased to "replace developers," but rather reduce routine tasks. Businesses still need people who understand processes, can properly design automation, and monitor errors, integrations, and security. AI can speed up some tasks, but it doesn't eliminate the need for a human who understands what exactly should happen and why.

Q2: The idea of "user enters a prompt → AI creates an RPA script" is already being partially implemented, but in practice, things are more complicated. Even if code generation becomes simpler, there are still things like edge case processing, integrations with unstable APIs, support, monitoring, and business logic. Therefore, the role of a junior RPA/automation developer is shifting toward "automation engineer + systems thinking," rather than disappearing.

In real business, it's still critical to properly implement and maintain software, rather than simply "generate automation." For example, we even build simple processes through service bundles—we recently set up email scripts and integrations through integrate gmail, and the main value wasn't in AI, but in understanding the business logic and process stability.

So the short answer is: tools will change and become smarter, but people who understand processes and know how to implement them correctly will not disappear.

Hey,

No, these tools will not replace you. Make, Zapier, n8n, and AI can only handle simple automation. But real work still needs a person to set things up, fix errors, and manage complex situations. Junior RPA jobs won’t disappear, but they will change. Basic work may reduce, and more focus will be on understanding systems and solving problems.
