A team member moving out of the project ,we need to transfer all the owenership of the credentials, queue, etc and also wanted to check if anything is not checked-in from the user.

We can manually check each and everything , but is there best ways to identify all this with less manual effort ?

Hi @SakthiVel,

Automation Anywhere doesn’t have a single “one-click” feature for full ownership transfer and pending check-ins, but there are ways to minimize manual effort using built-in tools and reports.

1. Identify All Assets Owned by the User

Use Control Room → Administration → Users:

  • Search for the user and check:
    • Bots (My Bots)
    • Credentials (Credential Vault lockers)
    • Queues
    • Devices
  • You can export these lists for review.

2. Use the Audit Log for Pending Check-ins

  • Go to Control Room → Audit Log.
  • Filter by:
    • User Name
    • Action = “Check-out”
  • This will show any bots checked out and not checked in.

3. Credential Vault Ownership

  • Navigate to Credential Vault → Lockers.
  • Check if the user is a Locker Owner or Consumer.
  • Reassign ownership to another user or bot creator.

4. Queues

  • Go to Workload → Queues.
  • Check if the user is an Owner or Participant.
  • Update ownership as needed.

Additionally, if you want to reduce manual steps:

  • Use Control Room APIs:
    • GET /v2/users/{id}/roles → Find roles and assets.
    • GET /v2/repository → Check bots owned by the user.
    • GET /v2/audit → Check pending check-outs.
  • You can create a Bot or Script to:
    • Pull all this data.
    • Generate a report.
    • Even trigger ownership updates via API.
