Hi all,
I'm trying to schedule a bot in Automation Anywhere to run every 30 minutes continuously. However, I can’t seem to remove the End Time—does that mean the bot will stop and restart at the defined Start Time?
If so, would I need to create two separate schedules—one running from 11:59 AM to 11:59 PM, and another from 12:30 PM to 11:30 AM—to cover the full 24 hours?

Appreciate any advice

@jadamczyk You can leave the end date empty for infinite running on a schedule:

This is a schedule we use to check for email registrations.

Here’s our schedule that runs every 20 minutes.

Hi @jadamczyk,

Yes, if an End Time is set, the bot will stop and restart at the next Start Time. To run it continuously every 30 minutes for 24 hours, you’ll need two schedules as you described—one for the daytime window and one for the overnight window.

Thanks for quick response @Padmakumar

I’ve found a slightly better solution than setting up two separate schedules. I’ll create a one-off schedule that runs until today at 11:30 PM, and then have a recurring schedule start at 12:00 AM and run until 11:30 PM each day—covering the full 24 hours.

This way, it’s easier to manage everything with just one recurring schedule moving forward.

Technically that is also a double schedule.

It is but i can remove it the next day rather than keeping two schedules up at all times. It would be great if we could just remove the End Time or leave it empty, so the schedule just run continuously

Sounds good to me anyway. Just ensure the recurring schedule uses a frequency of every 30 minutes within that 12:00 AM–11:30 PM window. So, if your process needs continuous execution (e.g., monitoring, data updates), the frequency ensures consistent coverage without manual intervention.

Pls use the cron expression to schedule a bot. No need to create a 2 seperate bots

Hey @Aaron.Gleason

That’s what i did, but taking into an account that the automation i wanted to kick off at around 10am today and wanted to continue endlessly there is no way to remove End Time so I essentially build two bots where one will END at midnight and something similar as you posted above will kick in from then.

All I was saying before that it would be great to be able to setup an automation that can just run endlessly from what ever time you want with no end time and no end date.

Thank you all for your input!
Jay

To run continuously for 24 hours, you have two main options:

Two schedules

  • Schedule 1: 11:59 AM → 11:59 PM (every 30 mins)
  • Schedule 2: 12:30 PM → 11:30 AM (every 30 mins) This works, but it’s a bit messy and harder to maintain.

Use “All Day” or 00:00 → 23:59

  • Set Start Time = 00:00 and End Time = 23:59.
  • Interval = 30 minutes. This is the cleanest way. The bot will run every 30 minutes throughout the day

@jadamczyk - what Aaron provided is correct - no need to for duplicate schedules.  Set it up the way he shows in the screenshot above and your automation will run every 30 minutes every day indefinitely
