Question

attended bot not showing up in run-as users setting for task scheduling

Hi, team.

Upon configuring the “Run-as users” step for the task scheduling, the user account with Attended Bot runner doesn’t show up in the list and only Unattended Bot runner does. Is this intended behavior or did I miss something for the attended bot setting?

Best regards

@hongjoo.choi

  • In Automation Anywhere, the Run-as user option is tied to Unattended Bot Runners.

  • Attended Bot Runners are designed for interactive execution, the user manually triggers the bot from their machine. Because of this, they don’t appear in the “Run-as users” list for scheduled tasks.

  • Scheduling with “Run-as” is intended for background execution without user intervention, which is why only Unattended runners are supported.
