Accessing a user's private repo as an admin

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible to access another user’s private repo using an admin account? Or is there some other method to access another user’s private repo?

We occasionally have team members going on unexpected leave, and we are unable to access their changes on their private repo. Using the recover bots and files instruction is not ideal as the user has not left the team, just that they are away temporarily.

Hi @jacob.wong ,

I think directly we cannot access the private repository on an user. If you have the admin right you can take control of the user by changing the credential (I guess people may not go with it if there’s some policy put in place).

Hi @Abhay Naik, thanks for your response. We are using AD to authenticate users so we are unable to change a user’s credentials as they are not local users.

@goodgist - can you elaborate on what the recovery processes are?
