Hi,

I am Finding control room to be slow, is there any updates or specific reason why this could be? This is happening for a number of days now.

Hi @s.ali,

Is this On-Prem or Cloud?

HI @Padmakumar

This is on cloud.

Thanks,

HI @Padmakumar

Thanks,

Numerous factors can contribute to Control Room slowness in the cloud. Here are common reasons and considerations:

  1. Cloud Service Performance or Maintenance:

    • Cloud providers may have ongoing maintenance or temporary performance degradation affecting responsiveness.
    • Check Automation Anywhere’s status page for any reported outages or maintenance windows.
  2. Network Latency or Local Connectivity Issues:

    • Your internet connection speed, latency, or local network issues can impact Control Room responsiveness.
    • Try accessing Control Room from a different network or device to isolate the issue.
  3. Browser Performance:

    • Browser cache, extensions, or outdated versions can slow down Control Room UI.
    • Clear the browser cache, disable unnecessary extensions, or try a different browser.
  4. Control Room Load:

    • High user activity or heavy workloads in your Control Room tenant can cause slower response times.
    • This can be transient based on peak usage times.
  5. Large Data or Logs:

    • Excessive logs, large numbers of bots, or heavy audit data in your Control Room account may slow down UI operations.
    • Consider archiving old data or cleaning up unused bots or logs if possible.

If the issue persists, raise a support ticket, including details of the slowness and timestamps.

@s.ali You can check this site to see if there are issues:

https://status.automationanywhere.digital/

I haven’t noticed any slowdowns on Windows or Mac machines this week. Is this your company’s control room or the community edition control room…?

If none of this matters in your case, I would recommend raising a support call for this.

Hi @Aaron.Gleason

Although it shows everything ok, it just takes longer then usual. I find when I go to open my bots from the control room to either develop them or to debug and run, the circular motion of loading is there often or the Bot agent/runner takes longer then usual to appear.

This is my company’s control room and not the community edition.

Thanks

@s.ali The usual answer here is internet bandwidth. We, as a corporation, use a firewall tool internally that really restricts bandwidth and makes things perceptibly slower. I work from home and if I compare the speed of a control room from behind the firewall (using AA equipment), it is significantly slower than accessing the same control room from non-AA equipment that is not behind a firewall.

I think the next stop would be to check with your IT department and see if something new was installed, such as a firewall or proxy server, that could be affecting your internet speed.

You can also use a bandwidth checker. I do NOT recommend using Speedtest since many companies have learned how to “game” those numbers. Try this one:
