Just signed up/installed Automation Anywhere Community Edition, but when I go to try creating my first bot, I receive the following message:

When I try opening the AutomationAnywhere Bot Agent, I then receive this message:

I’ve tried looking at the three suggested issues in the first error message, and everything looks correct to me.
I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling and I followed the video tutorial on initial setup, but I end up back in the same loop.

I know that the Community Edition doesn’t require a license, so I do not understand why I am receiving the error.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

@incaseofemergencybreakglass Are you trying to launch the icon from your desktop? That’s the only way I know to get that message.

Since this is Community Edition, you should be opening your browser and visiting the site that appeared in your email. It will be one of these:

https://community2.cloud-2.automationanywhere.digital/

https://community.cloud.automationanywhere.digital/

The icon on the desktop is really for the Enterprise Edition, but since the Bot Agents are the same, maybe the installer put the icon there not knowing you are using Community Edition.

Hi Aaron,

I am primarily trying to use the URL (https://community.cloud.automationanywhere.digital/), but I still receive the message in the first screenshot. That’s what led me to try opening the desktop icon.

So what do I do about the error message from the first screenshot?

@incaseofemergencybreakglass You need to set the credentials for your Bot Agent. This is done by clicking your name in the bottom left corner, then selecting My settings from the pop-out.

In the settings, expand Devices, go to Credentials, and enter your domain and username with a backslash between them. Don’t know what they are? Go to a command prompt (terminal) and enter “whoami” (all one word) and press enter.
