Unable to reach the device while adding a new device

Hello,

I am trying to add a new device to the Control Room, but I am getting the following error message:

“Unable to reach the device. This may be due to a network connectivity issue with the device. To continue, please check that the device is running and connected to the internet and try again.”

The Bot Agent is installed on the machine and the services are running. The device has internet access, but it is still not reachable from the Control Room.

I have already tried the following steps:

  • Reinstalled the Bot Agent

  • Restarted the services

  • Restarted the machine

  • Checked the firewall settings

However, the issue still persists.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Are there any specific network settings, ports, or proxy configurations that I should verify?

Thank you in advance for your support.

@Shreya.Kumar @Oli.Morris -- have either of you experienced this before?

Hi @akncmustafa

I’d advise performing diagnostic checks especially the -ping <CR_URL> option.

I've tried everything, but I keep getting this error. There must be a different solution.

What did the diagnostic results say?

  • Stop the AA services completely for few seconds
  • Then close the Browsers
  • Start the Browsers
  • Start the AA service and install the BOT Agent
  • You may also check, if previously any other device is connected, you may need to disconnect for a while.

This worked for me.
