Hi AA 360 Support Team,

Please help me.

 

In My BOT, “Excel advanced: Open” was working fine but suddenly ( 2 days before) it stopped working.

“Excel basic: Open”  is working fine.

When Bot is reaching that line to execute, it just got stuck , NO ERROR MESSAGE also.

It just get frozen with round progress bar(BOT Running….) 

Ms office or excel is also not updated in server.

BOT’s “Excel advance” package is also up to date.

Please help me .

 

 

@SibasisSinha Searching this forum, the consensus is for you to uninstall and reinstall Office. Something broke and it will take way longer to troubleshoot it than to just refresh your Office install, which should fix it.

Thanks for quick reply. 

I am working in a IT company and BOT is on a remote machine which is a common server for other employees also.

We have other BOTs running on server , dealing with excel (“Excel Advance: Open” action) and no problem for them.

 

So, re-installing excel on remote server may not be easy job just for my BOT’s issue.

Do you have any other suggestion please ?

Can you try changing the Excel Advanced package version and check once?

Sometimes, orphaned Excel processes or COM instances from previous runs can cause the advanced Excel package to hang. Can you add an additional logic to kill any active Excel session just before your Excel Advance: Open action?

if your excel has any

  1. add-ins enabled?
  2.  Hiiden sheets? (not required for processing).
  3. Contains Chart/s?    Then select these check-box (available in Excel advanced: Open) according to the excel and process requirements.
