when trying to log into Community Edition Control Room *** Box pops up with *** ERROR MESSAGE - License Not Found - An Automation Co-Pilot license is needed to use this application. LOG OUT  There was a link to a video about installation in a prior post to this issue however it is not clear I need to delete and reload the control room, start a new account, or exactly how to fix the issue? Even if a fix is provided, I cannot get in to fix this because I am reverted back out to the login screen when having to hit the "LOG OUT" button.

Hi @dsamatulski,

there is no license to use “Automation Co-Pilot” in community edition.

You CR login should look similar to this:

https://community2.cloud-2.automationanywhere.digital/

Cheers

Marc

@dsamatulski

  • The Automation Anywhere Community Edition (A360) is free for individual users, students, and small businesses, but it requires a valid license tied to your account. Automation Co-Pilot is a feature that may not be included in all Community Edition setups by default, or it might require specific activation.
  • If this error appeared suddenly (e.g., after a period of successful use), it could mean your license has expired, been revoked, or the Community Edition terms have changed.

  • Since you can’t access the Control Room to make changes internally, the simplest fix might be to re-establish your Community Edition setup:
    • Go to the Community Edition sign-up page (https://www.automationanywhere.com/products/community-edition).
    • Use the same email address tied to your current account to re-register. This should refresh your license and link it to your account.
    • After re-registering, you’ll receive an email with instructions to log in again. Follow those to see if the Control Room becomes accessible.

  • If you need immediate access and can’t wait for support, create a new Community Edition account with a different email address:

    Sign up at the Community Edition page.
  • Install the Bot Agent with the new credentials.
  • This isn’t ideal if you have existing bots tied to your old account, but it can get you back into the system while resolving the original issue.
