Decimal calculation in A360

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Does A360 handle decimal values so you can do calculations

Best answer by Padmakumar

Hi @mohank06 ,

A360 can handle decimal values by making use of Number and Math packages.

For example,

To multiply any number by 1.25% you can create a logic similar to the one shared below. You can tweak it as per your requirement.

Multiply with 1.25%

However, there isn't any package that can find the greatest of 4 numbers using generic packages. You may write a Java script or Python script instead to achieve the same.

 Greatest of 4

Dear @mohank06,

Autodesk A360 is a cloud-based platform that provides a variety of tools and features for design, engineering, and collaboration. It is not a standalone calculator or spreadsheet application, so it does not have the same capabilities as software like Excel when it comes to handling decimal values and performing calculations.

However, A360 does provide some basic math functions that allow you to perform calculations on certain types of data. For example, you can use the "Calculate Field" function in the A360 Field Calculator to perform calculations on the values in a field or attribute of a design model. This can be useful for tasks like converting units or calculating totals.

If you need to perform more advanced calculations or work with decimal values in A360, you may need to use a separate calculator or spreadsheet application, or export the data to another tool for further analysis.

Regards,
