But when I use Excel's Open command to open the CSV it opens but doesn't separate the columns, has anyone had this problem?

When you're opening the. CSV using excel, you will see the results like the above attachment because the file is separated by the , or ;

or you can use the TXT/CSV package read the data without opening the file
