This is Dhwanit Parekh from Automation Anywhere Technical Support team.

 

If it is going to be an in place upgrade of Operating System, then it usually doesn't impact on any installed software and services and hence, bot agent being service dependent, you shouldn't require to re-register your device or anything. Once your bot runner device is up and bot agent service is started, it will auto register itself with control room. Still should you need any assistance in case if things go south, you can always reach out to our support team via a support request.

 

Regarding updating the bots, yes, you will need some fair testing of all bots before you can conclude on that, as with change in OS, there are chances how browser and other components interact with UI and that may force you to update some of the object cloning based automation.
