Issues running bots from Control room - Restart VM

I'm having issues running bots from the control room. Sometimes they don't start. This has been solved by restarting the virtual machine where the client is installed. Is it recommended to restart the VMs regularly?, since they run bots 24/7. What would be the reason why this restart should be done?
