Can we actually build a bot that automates action in the control room?

 

Example

- adding trigger

- scheduling bot

- adding roles to certain user etc

 

If the answer is yes, is there a downside to this?

I have certainly built a bot to use the Control Room API to automate user/device management, yes. As far as downsides, I have not encountered any. Depends on the use case, I guess, as to whether there would be any caveats to consider.


I’ve used the APIs externally to perform user/role actions before, but not within a bot itself.

 

only downside I can think of security wise, would someone get access to the bot to perform actions they don’t have permission for?
