I am just curious if others have given up on this action working, or have found any scenarios where it is useful? I have had a ticket in since last year and keep hearing “that technology is not fully implemented yet, it will be someday”. Makes me wonder why it is included in the product if it is not ready for prime-time, as I have lost count of the number of customers this causes frustration for.

So far it seems anchors only work if you are using AISense Recorder. Otherwise, you get the error below when you click on any element as an anchor, whether you’re using auto-detect or MS UI Automation options:
