Welcome to Week 3 of Document Automation Training Camp! You’re halfway there!

Last week you learned about various extraction methods, and we know you had a good time because we had a ton of AWESOME feedback and engaging questions. Keep those coming because we love hearing from you!

This week’s courses are going to be just as great, and we can’t wait to help you along the way. 💡 After completing the Week 3 courses you’ll be able to do the following:

🗒️️ Create custom rules that automatically detect and fix errors in your data
🔍 Enhance and enrich extracted data, integrating it with external sources
🛠️️ Fine-tune your settings to improve accuracy and efficiency of document processing
📈 Optimize your automations to process high volumes quickly while maintaining precision

Check out this WEEK 3 INTRO VIDEO from Oli Morris, then scroll down to see your gameplan.

Here’s your Gameplan for Week 3:

Hi @Lu Hunnicutt,

Does it possible to add Closed Caption into the videos? The first video doesn’t has CC

Thanks!

Hi guys, are you able to import the .zip file with the Bot attached?

Hi guys, are you able to import the .zip file with the Bot attached?

yes!

Hi guys, are you able to import the .zip file with the Bot attached?

can you specify the name of the Zip File you require?

@jshaji this one: video10-post-processing-taskbot.zip

try this

yea that’s right but what about the second video?

The second video is named correct on my end

can you share the link?

https://upskill.automationanywhere.com/learn/video/working-with-field-and-validation-rules

Man This video is same as third one

hahaha you are right they named them correct but uploaded the same video content to it. now I saw that too... 🤭

We are currently fixing the link for the video ‘https://upskill.automationanywhere.com/learn/video/working-with-field-and-validation-rules’ and it should be live soon. I will be back once it is updated shortly.

Hi @Lu Hunnicutt,

Thanks!

@GOAA Closed caption is enabled now for the Standard forms video, thanks.

Hi all! Videos are all linked. Thanks so much!

Hi guys, are you able to import the .zip file with the Bot attached?

Hey @Marc 1985 - bot upload should be available now. Because of the setup of this training environment, there’s some weird stuff that happens when you give people a file that already exists in public… so we had to move the public files to a different location, and now you should be good to go

Heads up to anyone running into DocumentModelLimit errors - we’re aware of the licensing limitation and we’re working on extending the licensing in this shared training environment as we speak.

Update: the request has been submitted to extend the licensing. You should be able to create a standard template in standard forms, and should be able to create nueral templates shortly.

Hi All. To follow-up on Micah’s post, for the time being, you can create template models in place of neural models and they should work just as well. The only difference will be in the confidence of the values which the model thinks it can extract. However, you can adjust for this in the learning instance itself by lowering the confidence threshold.

Please note: We do have limits set whereby any neural models will be purged after 24 hours.

Thank a lot Aaron for your response…

I will use the template model in place of neural model.

Have a good day…

Jesus Ostos.

Thanks a lot @Lu Hunnicutt, @arjun.meda, @Micah.Smith, and @OliverM108256 for resolving the issues!
I was able to import the zip file and also able to see the correct videos.
The Week 3 Game Plan is now complete from my end!
Cheers!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve completed Week 3 of the Document Automation Training Camp! 🎉 This week was packed with hands-on experience in:

📑 Using Standard Forms to Create Custom Models

📋 Applying Rules to Learning Instances

🔍 Data Validation (Advanced Training)

🛠️️ Data Manipulation and Enrichment

⚙️ Maximizing Throughput

I highly recommend this training for teams planning to migrate from IQBot to DA or kickstart their DA use cases. Document Automation (DA) offers powerful features like Document Rules for multi-field verification tailored to business needs. For anyone interested, check out the documentation on Formula Validation as covered in Applying Rules to Learning Instances tutorial.

One standout feature was the Advanced Training Setting ⚙️a game-changer for extracting complex or multi-table data. By mapping a primary column and using an end-of-table indicator, DA handles data with impressive accuracy and flexibility.

With Data Validation, custom logic for data cleansing and external lookups reduces unnecessary revalidation via Validator, making DA adaptable to unique use case requirements.

Thanks @Micah.Smith @Lu Hunnicutt @arjun.meda @OliverM108256 for the quick fixes.

I am also facing same issue.

@Aditi Indoriya - you can use the template model instead of neural and continue with the exercise. It will work the same, just that the confidence score might be slightly different

Hey @Micah.Smith , It’ll be great if we get more hands on experience on manipulating the DA Process in Process Composer! Like this

Just a suggestion :”)

Great feedback @jshaji - Stay tuned for week for as we’ll be doing a full end to end build in process composer based on what’s been learned up until this point

Does Document Automation support the Arabic language? If not, when will it be available?

Hi Team,

I'm repeatedly seeing the error "Invalid Task Record id: 8,396",Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Hi guys,

if you have some problems with the extracted formats of “price” and/or “dates” like this: 👇👀

First I tried changing the locale of “price” and “date” on the learning instance but that didn’t solved this issue for me:

After this I changed my locale “region” format to “English United States” on Windows and that worked for me:

Maybe this helps someone on their Document Automation Journey 😊
